This exciting two-day event is held annually at the Parker Ranch Rodeo Arena in Waimea as a fundraiser to provide scholarships for school-age children of Parker Ranch employees. The highly anticipated event celebrates its 35th year with loads of family-style fun. Tickets are available in advance at the Parker Ranch Store and at the gate on rodeo days. Children 10 and under are free.
Spend a day here and help kids with the scholarship program. Pack your lunch and be ready to have some fun!

Kona artist, Kathleen Abood presents a solo art exhibition at the Fairmont Orchid, Hawai'i. The Plein Air paintings selected for this solo art exhibition represent twenty years of creating 'on site' land and seascapes while traveling around the Pacific Islands. The plein air or open air painting session begins with a need to simplify visual details with a point of view. As the image develops and the weather changes, the bright tropical sunlight and luminous clouds on the horizon quickly become vivid brush stroke impressions, and the natural elements of the earth, ocean and sky breathe life into the wet paint.
